1. IAB-HOPP: Wave 8 of the High-frequency Online Personal Panel 'Life and Work Situations in Times of Corona' (IAB-HOPP) is now available

The High-frequency Online Personal Panel 'Life and Work Situations in Times of Corona' (IAB-HOPP) surveyed individuals from May 2020 to June 2021. The data will help researchers to evaluate changes in peoples’ life during the COVID-19 pandemic, and provide long-term research opportunities on labour market consequences of the crisis.

For further information and download of the working tools, please visit our website: https://fdz.iab.de/en/FDZ_Individual_Data/HOPP/HOPP_W01-W08.aspx

4. Reminder: 6th User Conference of the FDZ of the BA at the IAB – celebrating 10 years of the Linked Personnel Panel (LPP) on 21-22 November 2022: Call for papers

The 6th User Conference of the FDZ – celebrating 10 years of the Linked Personnel Panel (LPP) will be held virtually on 21-22 November 2022. We invite you to present a paper on any topic related to labor markets using FDZ data. This year’s conference will also host an extra session on the Linked Personnel Panel (LPP) to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the panel. Therefore, submissions relying on the LPP or LPP-ADIAB data are especially welcome. We also plan an extra session on data from other data providers within the International Data Access Network (IDAN). Therefore, we are looking forward to submissions relying on country comparisons.

Please send your paper or extended abstract in electronic form to iab.fdz@iab.de. The deadline for submissions is August 31, 2022. The conference language will be English.

6. Inclusion of aggregate data in do-files and scripts

The Research Data Centre wants to point to the existing regulation that any inclusion of data in do-files and scripts is strictly prohibited. This does not apply to classifications and conversion tables (e.g., contribution assessment ceilings, DM-Euro translation, GDP deflators, CPIs, transcoding of industry codes, districts or employment agency districts). All aggregate data must be sent as data sets to the FDZ with a detailed description and an indication of the data source. The transmission of data in do-files or other scripts is a violation of Section 6 (4) of the data use agreement and will be sanctioned accordingly.
