1. Change of responsibility for the Scientific Use File of the 'Study on Mental Health at Work' (S-MGA) to the FDZ-BAuA

Since 2017, we have offered the Scientific Use File of the S-MGA Wave 1. From now on, these data will no longer be provided by us, but exclusively by the Research Data Centre of the Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (FDZ-BAuA). The FDZ-BAuA has also been offering an updated Scientific Use File for the S-MGA since August 2021. The new Scientific Use File integrates the data from waves 1 and 2 of the S-MGA as a panel data set and offers a larger range of characteristics. In particular, occupational codes according to ISCO-08 and KldB2010 are now available for both waves.

Further information on access to the Scientific Use Files can be found at: www.baua.de/DE/Angebote/Forschungsdaten/Studie-Mentale-Gesundheit-bei-der-Arbeit.html (only in German)

2. IAB-SE: Survey data until the third quarter 2019 is now available, Record- Linkage

A new wave of the IAB Job Vacancy Survey is now available. The extended dataset now covers the period from the fourth quarter of 2000 until the third quarter of 2019.

From wave 2010 a record-linkage with administrative data of the Establishment History Panel (BHP) is available for all establishments of the IAB Job Vacancy Survey.

For this update, all working tools (data report, codebooks) have been revised as well and can be found at https://fdz.iab.de/en/FDZ_Establishment_Data/IAB_Job_Vacancy_Survey/IAB_SE0018.aspx

Previous versions of the data are still available upon request in the archive of the Research Data Center for replicating the results of existing projects.

3. LPP-ADIAB: New version of the Linked Personnel Panel linked to the administrative data (LPP-ADIAB 7519) is now available

The 'Linked Personnel Panel' (LPP) is a linked-employer-employee data set with focus on HR work, corporate culture and management instruments in German establishments and contains the LPP Employer Survey and the LPP Employee Survey.

The LPP-ADIAB, which contains the four waves of the LPP survey data linked to administrative data of the IAB, is available now. This dataset makes it possible to analyze survey and administrative data for the LPP respondents simultaneously. The linked administrative data set contains variables with individual characteristics of the LPP Employee Survey respondents. The administrative data cover the years 1975-2019.

For further information and download of the working tools please visit our website: https://fdz.iab.de/en/Integrated_Establishment_and_Individual_Data/lpp/lpp-adiab7519.aspx

If you want to update the data for your project, please send us an e-mail (iab.fdz@iab.de)

4. NEPS-SC1-ADIAB: A new version for the National Educational Panel Study (NEPS), Starting Cohort 1 (SC1) survey data linked to administrative data of the IAB (NEPS-SC1-ADIAB) is now available

The survey data of the National Educational Panel Study (NEPS), Starting Cohort 1 (SC1) survey data are collected on behalf of the Leibniz Institute for Educational Trajectories (LIfBi) in Bamberg. The new data product 'NEPS- SC1 survey data linked to administrative data of the IAB' (NEPS-SC1-ADIAB) is provided jointly by the LIfBi and the IAB. Data access is provided by the FDZ at the IAB via on-site use and remote data access. The new version covers administrative data from 1980 to 2019 and NEPS data.
