1. IAB Establishment Panel: Wave 2017 of the IAB Establishment Panel is now available

The new wave 2017 of the IAB Establishment Panel (IAB-Betriebspanel) is now available.

The update of the IAB Establishment Panel also includes an update of the additional variables from the Establishment History Panel (BHP) up to 2017.

The working tools have been updated, too. The FDZ offers a Stata do-file for combining all waves from 1993 up to the most recent wave to form a panel data set.

The working tools can be downloaded from our homepage: https://fdz.iab.de/en/FDZ_Establishment_Data/IAB_Establishment_Panel/IABBP_9317.aspx

If you want to update your project, please send us an e-mail (iab.fdz@iab.de).

The INV-BIO ADIAB 8014 enable novel empirical research on the inventive activities of individuals and their immediate economic environment in the German labor market.

* The generation of this data set was financially supported by the DFG (project no. 329144242).

We are very pleased to announce the first CASD / IAB Conference on the advances in social sciences using administrative and survey data. The CASD and the IAB have recently established cross-country access to confidential administrative data in France and Germany. The aim is to foster and facilitate the use of rich register datasets which can be partly combined with detailed survey data from both countries and to improve the data sources for comparative research in social sciences.

The conference aims to bring together researchers using confidential administrative data in France and Germany and also welcomes researchers using similar data from other countries.

The program and further information can be found at: https://www.casd.eu/en/conference-advances-in-social-sciences-using-administrative-and-survey-data/
